So the Whitecaps was fabulous. I successfully ate 5 hot dogs, had great conversations with Leah, met up with some friends from Ada and chatted with my former supervisor from Wyoming! It was very encouraging and reminded me of how lucky I am to have so many supportive and fun people in my life (hence the FB status).

And after 11:30am, I was finally able to relax...although Corey hasn't been able to :( He has huge cases he's working on (obviously I'm not privy to details), but typically he comes home from work at 4:45pm and does not think about it until 8am the next morning. He's still working and "need to work throughout the night". Rats. I'm proud to have such a diligent, persevering husband though!

And good news: soon we will be resting in the car on our way to PA! I'm so pumped. I've never been out to visit Corey's mom's side of the family, so this vacation is long overdue. We're going shopping (no tax on clothes or shoes!), meeting/hanging out with people, eating lots of yummy food, hitting up some baseball games, and resting in general. When we come back we have the annual tractor parade in Decatur (please try to contain your excitement for us), and we get our kitty back! The only downfall to road trips is that we have to leave Luna...but at least she'll be spoiled by my mom. (Yes, I know she is not a real child).

Hope you have some big or small vacations to look forward to!

Ever have an "off" day? I'm having one of those. Not for any reason in particular...I think I'm mostly anxious to get tomorrow morning over with and move on to vacation in PA!

I had a third interview with EGR today. It went well, but boy it gets exhausting :) Don't get me wrong though; there were was only ONE school social work posting in all of Kent County last year and everyone and their brother wanted it. I'm thankful to have more (3) possible opportunities in Grand Rapids this summer/fall!

One more interview with Rockford tomorrow, and then I can possibly think about it less? I just pray that this entire process is pleasing to the Lord. It is difficult not to want this or not constantly think about the "what if"...or to remember that His will is WAY better than mine. Wherever I'll be in the fall is exactly where He wants me.

And guess what else? DIME DOGS at the Whitecaps tonight. If nothing else, that makes for a pretty marvelous day :)

Wishing you well!

Here are some pictures from the Whitecaps game yesterday! Jill got us tickets which was super kind of her, and my family had a wonderful time :) Unfortunately, I had to leave early for work, and we missed Megan...but we got some great pictures.

 Corey's funny sunburn lines...

It was also Autism Awareness day at the Whitecaps. If I would have known, I would have worn my T-shirt. I guess there's always next year!

Birthday Boy!

Our second oldest nephew, Nathan, turned 7 yesterday...crazy! It's been fun to see him (and the other boys) grow and learn! Here are some picture from the party:

I love that he's spitting on the cake to blow out the candles...we're all family at least!

Missing a tooth in the front, so I made him pose :)

 New bike!

We also finally put the red couch downstairs. It will temporarily stay there until we're able to get either 2 black ones or a black sectional.

Stalking a bird from the indoors

Today Corey and I had fun at Jana's pool (we missed Mathew!), and then we visited his co-worker's three day old baby. She was adorable :)

Deacon! (Jana's mom's cute dog)

Here is a sneak peek at the dresser...

Eventually she was all the way inside that bush hiding. Yes, we know the one in front is dead and needs to be pulled out...

We have a Whitecaps game with my family on Sunday, and then I have my second shift at Fossil. So many other things to look forward to this week that I will share later!

Since Corey's birthday was on June 13, and we celebrated with the Reed family last Saturday.

Check out how my Dad signed his card...

Nathan spelled all on his own!

 My loves snoozin'

On Corey's actual birthday, I made him a cookie cake for after work, and then we went to enjoy it with our fellow small group members. Recipe found here.

Many more cards made their way to the mantle

On Friday we celebrated Father's Day with the Reed's. Carson was eagerly attempting to take Wilson's bone...and Wilson was graciously letting him

Oh hi daddy

Someone's belly is ticklish!

On Saturday we had friends over for tacos, fruit, desserts, and drinks. I wish I had gotten more pics of the party, but it was a great time with fabulous company nonetheless.

Peanut butter rice crispie recipe found here
Random fact, Aussies call rice crispies "rice bubbles". (Corey's parents have someone from Australia living with them).

Yesterday we celebrated Father's Day with the Osbecks and then went out to Outback for Corey's birthday with them. It was a very restful day, and I even got a 20 minutes nap in (I never take naps!) Corey's mom took pictures, so I'll have to steal them from her when she posts them.

Today I'm going to my friend Jana's pool (the weather is supposed to clear up soon!) and Zumba with Leah. The other highlights of this week will include working at Fossil, gathering at Ada Bible Church, fishing with my pops, celebrating Nathan's 7th birthday, and going to a whitecaps game! Also, my brother Kevin is having surgery today, so if you could keep him in your prayers that would be appreciated. Oh and update on running...I've done it 10 days out of the past 14 :)

Hope you can find a reason to be thankful today...I know I am!
