5 months (22 weeks)!

Our sweet William is 5 months (22 weeks) old!

He is seriously the joy of our lives. I know, I know...who doesn't say that?! But it's just so true. All those cliches are the real deal.

Will is 25 inches long (yay ruler growth chart!) and probably weighs a lot (we don't have a scale).

He is sleeping 10-12 hours at night now. Holy awesome sauce, batman! He has his 5am wake ups here and there, but nothing too wild as of late.

He's eating more "solids" and enjoys sweet potatoes and applesauce the best. (Who doesn't love applesauce?). He also stares at us when we eat in front of him...like he's starving or something. Have you seen his rolls?

Will is such a happy baby. He blows me away. I love seeing him light up when he sees me or Daddy. And his laugh? Well it makes my heart melt every time. When he does cry, he rocks the pouty lip big time.

He's still obsessed with Mags, and she is still obsessed with licking him. He doesn't really notice Luna--even when we put him 2 inches from her face. I think she prefers it that way.

Rolling isn't Will's fav thing, but turning in circles and trying to get up on his knees sure is. He even did an army crawl yesterday! This babe is on the move, folks...and we're in for it. (I'm pretty sure I say that in every post ;))

He grabs anything and everything, and it all goes to his mouth still. He's a big drooler (and likes to spit now too), but no teeth yet!

Will is still so observant, and doesn't want to miss a thing. He's only been taking 3 half hour-ish naps a day for the past few weeks. But if he's sleeping at night then I don't even care what he does to his nap schedule ;)

So that's our big little sweet pea in a nutshell.

Cheers to this 153 day old adventure!

Robinette's

We took Will to Robinette's Apple Haus today! We planned on staying for awhile, but the line for donuts was insanely long. So we took a picture by the apple (of course), purchased our pumpkin, and snagged a few photos.

Such a beautiful day!

I adore this one :)

I thought this one was better than the one of him spitting up, ha!

So thankful for our little family!

The Things Kids Say

I love working with elementary students...they are so honest, and sometimes I cannot help but chuckle at the things they say.

Today in one of my groups a student with a Cognitive Impairment stopped me mid sentence and said, "Mrs. Osbeck, I'm sorry that I almost shared that your face looks weird. I'm sorry I shared that now."

It took everything in me not to burst out laughing!

Some may be offended, but really, this student just has my back ;)

I actually found so much joy out of all my groups and other tasks today. I am thankful for the privilege of working, and also the reminder that me working outside of the home (for our family) is a good thing.

Do I still miss Will? Absolutely. And I talk about him with the kids often.

But I also know my other purpose is being fulfilled with the staff and students I interact with.

I have much to be grateful for.

What has you reeling with joy or gratitude lately?

ps Happy Fall (my FAVORITE season of all time)!

21 Weeks!

21 weeks!

Will is rolling over more, and he's partly rolling from back to front

His feet are still fantastic toys

He has the sweetest laugh in the whole wide world, and he belly laughs on a daily basis

The church nursery ladies love him, and he loves going in there

He loves grabbing faces

Avocados are not his jam. His gag reflex works

His back is getting stronger, and he enjoys the sitting position (except when he catches sight of his toes again)

Kisses are his absolutely favorite

If he is crying and you start smooching his hands, he will stop and smile

He is just the sweetest. I simply cannot put into words my love for him!

Our attempt at a cute picture with Mags

Steve & Kate came for a visit...we can't wait for their wedding in 3 weeks!

He masters that alligator every time

Apparently there's something interesting over there

Real life

True love

Dimples like Daddy :)

"No one else will know the strength of my love for you. After all, you're the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside."
