Easter 2016

He is risen indeed!

Hallelujah for Jesus's death and resurrection. Today we went to the 7:30am service with Will. Our goal was to make it through the singing, and we did just that. During the song, Forever, we sang:

One final breath he gave
As heaven looked away
The son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

As I was holding Will and singing, I was struck by "as heaven looked away". How incredible is God's love for me, for us, that He turned away from His son rather than seeking to save Him. All for my sinful sake. I love those peaceful, deep-filled moments of gratitude. I am trying to seek more of those moments in my life.

After church we decorated eggs, napped and then celebrated with my family. On Saturday we were able to celebrate with Corey's family and go to Eli's birthday party. What a blessing family is!

Didn't like jelly beans the first time he tried them. After the second one he kept wanting "beans"

Will LOVES these sunglasses

Some cake pictures from Eli's birthday party!
